LORD OF ALL

For if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.  Romans 14:8-9
Many have made a decision that Jesus was the chosen Messiah to save the world from sin, but that is where their spiritual journey ends. They may go to Him in prayer when times are rough. They may go to church only sparingly. They may mention His name here and there. They may open the Bible at Christmas to read the story of the birth of Jesus. Their spiritual life is very shallow.
Could we all imagine or visualize that Jesus is the Lord of all? He is not some distant God of only creation, but He is the personal God living inside you. Many of us even think that God’s work is done when we die, but the verse above says that He is the Lord of the dead and the living. When we understand Him as Lord of All, we can realize that nothing stops God’s work of love.
He is not an inaccessible God who lives in too high of glory for man to reach, but He is the God who came in the flesh known as Christ Jesus. This solved all the mysteries of God to make Him totally accessible to the common man.
He is not the God of only the priest, pastor, rabbi, or religious leader. He is the Lord of each person who accepts Him. And whether we accept Him or not, He still remains the Lord of all. At the beginning stages of our Christianity, we may only relinquish a part of ourselves. We may have come to Him only to believe and seek forgiveness for our sins. But as we grow in Him, we understand the need to let go more of self to become more of Him.
We will find such hidden treasures as we daily drain ourselves and fill with Him. This means we relinquish to Him everything inside us: from every breath we take to every meal we eat, from our rising in the morning to our laying down at night, from our physicality to our mentality, from our mentality to our spirituality, from all our hopes and dreams to all our realities, from all our inspirations to our apathy, from our victories to our defeats, and from our loved ones to our enemies. ALL--we give Him all!
Jesus prayed in John 17:21-22, “Father, I pray that all who believe in me can be one. You are in me and I am in you. I pray that they can also be one in us. Then the world will believe that you sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me. I gave them this glory so that they can be one, just as you and I are one.”
When we are one with Christ, allowing Him to be the Lord of all, we will be more than just tapped into Christ, but we will be Christ. The glory that was given to Christ will be our glory. Let us not be guilty of only utilizing part of Christ, but let Christ be our Lord of all!
Dear Father in Heaven, I give You my all and ask that You become my all in all. Through Christ Jesus I pray, Amen.
