GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME

No one is good but One, that is, God. Mark 10:18 Good and upright is the Lord. Psalm 25:8

The little boy looked up at his grandma and said, “Danny is a good boy.” She smiled down at him with such love in her heart. Yes, at that exact moment, Danny was a perfect boy. Grandma also knew, even if Danny were to be a bad boy, she would still love him.

We are all like little “Danny’s.” We all try to be good, and even for a while, we may accomplish it. Then, temptation comes along rearing its beautiful, yet lethal head. Oh, it looks so good. It comes in the double glazed donut with sprinkles, the magazines with beautiful women dressed in seductive clothes or the chiseled men with bulging muscles, the more-than-you-can-afford car, a bottle of wine, the pill that will give you relief for just a while, trinkets, and the toys.

There is only one true One that is good all the time, and this is our heavenly Father. He looks at His children with such love in His eyes. He knows we are trying to be spiritually pure, but His love does not change when we dip into immorality. His love is constant, but we believe it in waves of trust and distrust. Our distrust comes when we are wading deep into sin. Satan plants his seed of considerable doubt that a good God could love bad people.

Don’t fall for Satan’s lies. God is good all the time, and God loves all the time. When we fully tap into this, the goodness and love of God will saturate us to the point where the enticement for sin will lose its power over us. God will be good in us.
