OPTIMISTIC

But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. Psalms 52:8

If God has planted a seed of faith in your heart, are you optimistic? As a Christian, we should always have a positive, cheerful, hopeful, and assured attitude. Yes, we all have problems, some worse than others, but when we are in Christ, we have so many opulent graces of God bestowed upon us that we should never let Satan steal our contentment.

All through the Bible, God supplies our real needs. In the book of Psalms alone, we are told that God is our helper, our fortress, our stronghold in the day of trouble, our deliverer, our leader, and our light and salvation.

In the New Testament, we are told that the Holy Spirit gives us boldness, confidence, adequacy, joy, peace, and powerfulness. Jesus gives us love, forgiveness, redemption, understanding, and truth.

The list goes on and on. There are over 70 scriptures that lead us to have an optimistic attitude. God created man from His ostentatious glory. It spilled out of Him into us. We are a reflection of His glory, and that right there is enough to make us laugh in delight of Him.

Are trials and tribulations hijacking your optimism? Do you feel as the Psalmist, a green olive tree in the house of God, or do you feel more like a dying plant out in the desert? Go to the Bible to see all the reasons you should and can be joyful even in the midst of pain. Never let Satan rob you of your rightful ownership of God eternal, loving and living inside you.

Please God, help me not to focus on my problems but on You and your solutions. Help me to remain optimistic as I realize the blessings you lavish on me. Though Christ Jesus, Amen.
